REDCap Project Owner

The Project Owner holds ultimate responsibility for the REDCap Project's compliance with research regulations and policies. Understand your responsibilities and obligations before taking on the role.

Who the NHG-REDCap Project Owner is

The NHG-REDCap Project Owner shall be the NHG Overall Study Principal Investigator1 for an approved research activity hosted on the Production Server.

 The Project Owner must also be a current employee of NHG Health for the duration of the REDCap Project.

[1] Or the NHG Officer-in-Charge (or equivalent) for a proposed REDCap project.

Responsibilities of the Project Owner

All REDCap Project activities hosted on the Production Server must strictly comply with requirements set forth by:

  • NHG Domain Specific Review Boards (DSRB) (or equivalent Oversight body).

  • Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA)

  • Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

  • All applicable NHG Health policies and regulations.

REDCap Project Owners bear significant responsibilities for ensuring their projects comply with relevant regulations and policies. Learn more in the REDCap User Agreement.

  • While Project Owners may delegate responsibilities to other project members, Project Owners must still maintain active oversight and management of their REDCap project.

  • The Project Owner retains ultimate responsibility for all activities conducted within the REDCap Project on the Production Server.
