How do I export data from my REDCap Project for analysis?

Learn how you can export data out of the REDCap Project and into your analysis tool.

REDCap allows you to export data in several formats, including CSV, Excel, SPSS, SAS, R, and Stata.

To do so, navigate to [Data Exports, Reports and Stats] section under 'Applications' in the left menu bar. Select the fields and records you want, choose your preferred format, and click export.

Prerequisites: You must have been assigned the appropriate project user-rights or role before you can export data from the project.

HANDLING EXPORTED DATA

  • All REDCap Users are responsible for taking all necessary measures to protect the exported REDCap Project data from unauthorized access as required by all applicable legislation, regulations and policies.

  • The exported REDCap dataset file must be password protected and securely stored on NHG-approved computers and data storage devices/facilities.
